Welcome!

Welcome to the homepage of the Gastonia Running Club. Our goal is to unite Gaston County Runners. Many runners from Gastonia, Belmont and surrounding areas travel outside of the area to find quality group runs and training partners. If you build it, they will come is the mindset  behind the formation of this club. We are simply hoping to fill a void and connect other like-minded runners.

Our staple group run is beginning in November on Wednesdays from the Gaston County YMCA. We are not a sponsored program of the YMCA but we have found it to be a convenient meeting grounds as well as access to showers after the run make it an easy transition to work. We anticipate 2-3 group runs breaking out by year's end. Starting on January 1st we will begin our annual membership dues of $10. This money will be used to sustain and grow the club as the board determines.

As we gain traction and begin to grow in numbers, please extend an invitation to your training partners, friends and families. Our goal is simply to promote health and fitness while helping one another reach their running goals. We will have Club gear available to represent our wonderful city as well as compete in local competitions.
